The Greek Nitro Series started with 35 racers competing in our beautiful weather at Fanatix track. German Thilo Alexander found a great opportunity to race and run-in his engines for the rest of his season. He visited us with his XRAY NT1 and his mechanic Sures who raced also and moreover he won the C final. Thilo took the TQ after 3 qualification runs of 7 min. He did a new lap record too a little faster than Alex Hagberg.
The final was 45 min. and Thilo decided to change mechanic for it and work with his Greek friend Doucakis. He went for safe pitstops at 4:30 and his main rival at 2nd place Sotiropoulos J. had the advantage of less pitstops at 5:10 in a 45min final. Thilo did a flawless race with his NT1 and managed to won the race. The 3rd place was again another Sotiropoulos, the amateur Spiros in comparison to 2nd John who is our national 1/10champion for more than 6 years.
XRAY won the B final with Platanas and C final with Thiloâ™s mechanic Sures. Great start for our new season with a successful first round of a new championship.
After GNS it was time for GTS, the electric class of Greek championship series.
The Greek Touring Series is a new championship based on the famous ETS. The first round of Greek Touring Series was held at FRT race track. Many drivers and great atmosphere between them. The traction was medium and the weather was sunny. The qualifications were very tight with great performance from all XRAY drivers with 7 XRAY cars in the A'main. The A' main starting grid:
Again the XRAY T4 was the dominant platform in this big event. Looking forward for the next races of the series we hope to see you all at the track. Next race 6/4.
